Quick Shop: My most used travel essentials

If you’re short on time, these are the travel products I personally use the most and definitely recommend.

My Non-Negotiable Travel Essentials

These are the items I bring on nearly every trip, regardless of the destination.

Packing Cubes

Packing cubes completely changed the way I travel.

For years, I packed everything directly into my suitcase and spent half my trip digging through clothes trying to find what I needed. Once I started using packing cubes, staying organized became effortless. They’re especially useful for multi-stop trips where you’re constantly unpacking and repacking. I also use them to separate clean clothes from dirty laundry, which keeps my suitcase from turning into chaos by the end of a trip.

Portable Charger

If I could only recommend one travel item on this list, it would be a portable charger.

Between using Google Maps, accessing boarding passes, checking hotel reservations, taking photos, filming videos, and communicating with friends and family, my phone battery gets a serious workout while traveling. A reliable portable charger has saved me countless times, especially during long travel days and unexpected delays. It’s one of those items you don’t think much about until the moment you desperately need it.

Universal Travel Adapter

A universal travel adapter is one of the easiest things to forget and one of the most annoying things to replace once you’ve arrived. Since I frequently travel between countries with different plug types, having a single adapter that works almost everywhere makes packing much simpler. Instead of carrying multiple adapters or scrambling to find one at the airport, I keep one universal adapter permanently packed in my travel bag.

AirTag or Luggage Tracker

Lost luggage doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it can completely derail the start of a trip. I recently started traveling with an AirTag in my checked luggage and my personal items, and it has given me so much peace of mind. Being able to see where my bag is during layovers and flight delays is surprisingly reassuring. Thankfully, I’ve never had luggage permanently lost, but having a tracker means I always know where my bag is.

Flight Essentials I Always Pack

Long-haul flights become much more comfortable when you have the right essentials with you.

Neck Pillow

I resisted buying a neck pillow for years because I thought they looked bulky and unnecessary. After enough overnight flights, I finally gave in and now I completely understand the hype. A good neck pillow makes it significantly easier to sleep during flights and helps reduce the stiff neck that often comes with trying to sleep upright.

Compression Socks

Compression socks are probably the most underrated item on this list. They’re especially helpful on long-haul flights and travel days that involve multiple flights. They help improve circulation and reduce swelling, making travel much more comfortable. I never used to think about them, but now they’re a standard part of my carry-on.

Sleep Mask

A sleep mask is one of the smallest items I pack, but I use it constantly. Whether it’s a bright overnight flight, a hotel room without blackout curtains, or an early morning sunrise coming through the window, having a sleep mask makes it much easier to get quality rest while traveling.

Travel Photography & Content Creation Gear

As someone who loves documenting trips and sharing travel content, these are the items I use most often.

Phone Tripod

Traveling solo often means getting creative when it comes to photos. A lightweight phone tripod allows me to capture photos and videos without constantly asking strangers for help. It’s become one of the most-used items in my travel bag.

Waterproof Phone Pouch

A waterproof phone pouch is one of those items you hope you won’t need, until you’re really glad you packed it. It was especially useful during my boat ride at Iguazรบ Falls, where getting completely soaked was part of the experience. Knowing my phone was protected allowed me to enjoy the adventure without worrying about water damage!

Safety & Convenience Items

These are the small items that make travel smoother and more secure.

Anti-Theft Crossbody Bag

When exploring busy cities, I prefer using a crossbody bag that keeps my passport, wallet, and phone close and secure. It’s practical, comfortable, and provides extra peace of mind in crowded areas.

TSA-Approved Luggage Locks

Luggage locks are inexpensive, lightweight, and easy to overlook. I use them whenever I check luggage and appreciate the extra layer of security they provide.
